I was thinking the other day about what the world really needed, and then it hit me. My opinion. What would truly make the world a better place is the random opinions of a moderately well educated 27 year old with little to no ambition. My opinion on the important issues of the day, the actions and events that shape all our lives, would be useful on a multitude of levels. Or maybe not.
In reality I feel like I need to improve my writing, not because I aspire to be any kind of author but because it seems like the type of thing that will help me later in life. So I decided to get a blog, my own little space to write about the shit in my life that no one really cares about. A place to tell those stories that if told face to face would lead to the instant formation of important reasons to leave whatever room I was in immediately. I will do my best to keep those posts to a minimum, though I promise nothing.
The majority of posts will concern the economic, political, scientific, and environmental issues that I am interested in. This does not mean that I have any unique insight into said issues, or even a strong grasp of the fundamentals or long term implications, but that has never stopped me from having an opinion before, and I won't let it now.
